Research Focus: Dante Studies; Medieval Italian Literature; Textual Studies.

Background: Originally from Pescara, Italy, Lorenzo is a first year PhD student in Literature program and a University Presidential Fellow for Humanities. He obtained a BA in Romance Philology and a MA in Italian Philology at the University of Pavia and has been alumnus of Collegio Ghislieri (2008-2013). He has been visiting student researcher at the University of California, Berkeley (Spring semester, 2013) and obtained a Master of Arts in Italian Studies at the University of Notre Dame (2013-2015). He has worked on Giovanni Boccaccio’s Humanism, Manuscript Studies and Print Culture. Now, he is mainly interested in Dante Studies: more specifically in Dante’s intellectual formation and history of culture in Florence (13rd cent.). Also, he is an editorial staff member of the International Peer-Reviewed Journal “Tipofilologia. Rivista internazionale di studi filologici e linguistici sui testi a stampa” (Serra Editore-Pisa)
